Indigenous-Led Education Network

For students of International Development, Indigenous Studies, Anthropology, Geography or related fields who are interested in working with indigenous leaders in tropical forest regions and would like to gain experience in project management, organizing webinars, podcasts, as well as fund raising, we offer internships to assist the secretariat of the Indigenous-Led Education Network.

Finance internships

The Indigenous-Led Education (ILED) Network is seeking passionate and motivated finance or accounting students for a remote internship opportunity supporting its Secretariat. This unpaid, part-time role (16 hours per week for a minimum of four months) offers hands-on experience in nonprofit finance, working closely with the ILED Project Assistant. Interns will contribute to ethical financial management by assisting with budgeting, financial tracking, grant reporting, and funding proposals—all in service of empowering Indigenous leaders in tropical forest regions.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn, with a background in finance or accounting. A strong interest in sustainability, ethical finance, and human rights is essential. Proficiency in English is required, with Spanish or an Indigenous language being an asset. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and the start date is immediate.

Find out more about these internships by sending an email to the ILED secretariat.
