Your contribution

Mother tongue education works. Fortunately this awareness is increasing. However, there is a serious shortage of multilingual and culturally appropriate materials and well-trained teachers, especially in remote areas and for small languages.

What can you do?

Become a volunteer

We can use your voluntary efforts. Perhaps you can contribute to one of the following priority activities through your own expertise or your network:

  1. Creating educational materials and further development of the e-tool
  2. Teacher training
  3. Creating global support, including research, monitoring and evaluation

We can also use support with fundraising and communication; interns are welcome. If you would like to make a contribution, please contact Ellen-Rose Kambel.

Become a donor

Changes in education do not just happen, especially for minority groups in developing countries. It requires a long-term commitment. We want to further develop our math method and train more teachers. It is also important that we create a global platform for mother tongue education.

We are therefore looking for donors who are convinced of the importance of mother tongue education. Whether you make a regular or a single donation, your contribution is very welcome.

You can donate directly to our bank account: NL81 INGB 0006 0430 20 (Rutu Foundation, Amsterdam, the Netherlands).

Did you know that donations are tax-deductible?

The Dutch tax authorities have recognized Rutu Foundation as an organization for the general benefit (Algemeen Nut Beogende Instelling – ANBI). This means that your donation may be tax deductible in the Netherlands under certain conditions. As of 1 January 2014 it has become very simple to make your recurrent gift completely tax deductible. To do this, you need a contract with the Rutu Foundation and agree to donate the same amount for at least 5 years. Click here for the model contract provided by the Dutch tax authority. If you have any questions, please contact us at info@rutufoundation.org.
